Above: left, P1-the Koepe Winding House, here viewed from the north-east, was built in the 1950's and is probably the only example of of its type left in the country. Right, P2-a view of the inside as it is now.

Below: P5-the old colliery managers offices which are situated by the road near to Snowdown railway station, and probably to be demolished, are the oldest buildings on the colliery site and date from around 1910. They are a classic example of Edwardian industrial design. Similar buildings were once  to be found on other contemporary, and now also defunct,  East Kent colliery sites.
